Women Against Sarah Palin

My name is Robin Alexis. I am the founder of Metaphysical Mothering. I believe that metaphysical mothering is a political voice. The premise of metaphysical mothering is that raising consciousness is the anecdote to terrorism. Raising consciousness begins with the power of preconception. WE do not create children we are not ready to teach how to be the future teachers of peace. We do not create family lineages as a result of being victims of our biology, but rather from a soul-ful responsible longing to serve humanity in this role. Metaphysical mothering begins and ends with this most sacred choice at its core.

My ancestors are Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. I am proud of this. They were leaders with integrity. Sarah Palin, in my humble opinion, is not a woman of integrity. She would rob me of my reproductive rights to move herself forward in a political hunt for self-gratification. Her reproductive right choices would take away my reproductive rights that women before me worked so hard to earn.  As a woman who was given the option to legally and safely terminate a pregnancy when I was 17 years old and only a junior in high school I have to speak up about this personal matter. I got pregnant because the condom my boyfriend and I were using broke. I am not proud of this. I would consider these moments in my life my most un-guru moments. But they were choices I had the right to make. I would not take Sarah Palin's right to be sexual in her own timing and her choice to have a child away from her. Why should she have the right to take my right to terminate a pregnancy away from me?

When I was 23 years old I chose to become a parent. I felt that I was consciously able to take on that responsibility. My children are 30 and 28. I am a grandmother now. Sarah Palin's philosophy is in exact opposion to my way of creating divine family. Therefore, Sarah Palin is not only a woman I cannot respect, she does not represent my political voice. Infinite Spirit willing, I pray that any political future of Sarah Palin's is an aborted issue.
